About the Project
Cranberry Point Energy Storage (Cranberry Point) is ideally located on roughly 6 acres of land in Carver, Massachusetts, where it will interconnect near critical transmission infrastructure, adjacent to Eversource’s existing Carver 115kV substation.
June 30, 2023 Update: Cranberry Point Energy Storage’s permit is approved by Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities. We thank Massachusetts leadership for making this decision based on the facts of regional need, project design, minimal environmental footprint, and safety best practices. Battery energy storage is already widely deployed across the country to help decarbonize and modernize electric grids. Cranberry Point Energy Storage will be a critically-important asset to improve power reliability and clean electricity for Southeastern Massachusetts. We look forward to continuing our close coordination with the Town of Carver as we begin construction on the project.
